Mandator originalmente era conocida como Mysto Dysto y en 1986 ellos sacaron en vinyl solamente (
) su primer disco con Mysto Dysto llamado "The Rules Have Been Disturbed". La banda cambia su nombre a Mandator y grabaron un exelente demo llamado "A.I.D.S." (An Invisible Disease Strike). Este demo contiene 4 canciones de las cuales 2 fueron incluidas en sus 2 proximos albums (AIDS en "Perfect Progeny" y Evil Dead en "Initial Velocity" Con el tiempo se fue considerando como una de las mejores bandas de speed metal en Netherlands.
La banda se separa poco tiempo despues de lanzar su segundo album "Perfect Progeny" y aparentemente no se ha sabido nada de ellos hasta entonces. Se deconoce si alguno de los miebros sigue en el negocio de la musica.
